Earlier this week, we hosted a live session on our Discord server for our Limit Break Mentorship mentees, featuring freelance pixel artist Ellie Vong. The talk was streamed live and is now available to watch on our YouTube channel.
Ellie shared her personal journey into the games industry, offering honest insight into what it takes to build a sustainable career as a freelance pixel artist. From early inspirations and skill development to navigating professional challenges, her talk was both grounded and motivating for aspiring artists.
During the session, Ellie also showcased a selection of her artwork, walking through her creative process and explaining how she approaches style, consistency, and professional delivery when working with clients. For many of our mentees, this behind-the-scenes look at a working artist’s mindset was one of the most valuable parts of the session.
